Smartphone

I almost lost my iPhone today. I left it in the bathroom stall at school and then went to class to teach. Shortly after, a faculty member from the English department came and I thought it was a student at the door because class was about to start. It was a colleague who knew who I was. She knew I was on campus and which room I was in because she called the school to check.

I felt so incredibly lucky today because it would have been quite sad to have lost my phone. It is one of those rare times when I feel glad to not have a passcode on my phone.

Dad's Friend

I've been thinking about my dad's friend and how he's doing. Today, he called my dad and we chatted for a bit. We talked about my dad and my caregiving. I'm happy my dad's friend is still in relatively good health based on his voice. I like how he tries to give advice when I tell him what my dad has trouble with.

Saying Hi

I've been wanting to tell my nurse friend how well I've been doing with my stocks. Then my friend surprisingly showed up today at our home to say hi. We hadn't seen each other in forever. We talked about random things including stocks. He still hasn't made any money but hasn't lost any either. He is impressed by how much money I could make even on negative days.
