Los Alamitos Medical Center

I visited Los Alamitos Medical Center tonight.  My best friend's grandpa had to go into the ER for a heart problem.  He had chest pain for eight hours prior to going to the hospital and didn't care to get it checked out.  I think he just suffered from some form of a stroke.  He is 91 this year, and seemed just fine and alert when I saw him.  He was going to stay at the hospital over night, and I helped make sure he was covered from the shoulders down.  My best friend told me later that the nurses recommended him heart surgery since they thought his body could handle it.  According to the tests, there was calcium buildup in his heart, but he opted not to go through the surgery.  I would do the same.  He's still very bright, and even takes his girlfriend out dancing every week.  For now he takes medications.

I really hope he will still be here at least into his late 90s.
