Today I accidentally made my students stay an extra fifteen minutes after class. I was in the middle of lecturing and the students were very attentive. They were responding to my questions and I kept going and going. Finally, I told them that we should take a break by watching a video, and one person raised her hand and asked, "Do we have enough time?" I actually said yes and then quickly realized that I meant to end the class fifteen minutes earlier.
Before leaving, some of the students said the lecture was so interesting, that they enjoyed it; they did not mind at all that they had to stay a bit longer than usual.
