I bought a set of haircutting scissors and razor and decided to give myself a haircut today. I had to watch some YouTube videos and also looked up how to partition hair in my mom's cosmetology textbooks that she used over 20 years ago when she was taking classes to obtain her cosmetology license. I'm glad the texture of my hair is naturally smooth so it was not difficult to cut. Also, I am keeping the length medium so that it can grow out longer and wouldn't be too long; it was easy to cut. The last time I cut my own hair was about 10 years ago, and I'm doing a better job this time.

I could have also asked my mom to cut my hair since I see her every day as we live in same house and she cuts hair for a living, but I wanted to see if I am able to cut my own hair and be happy with the cut.

I have also asked my dad to cut my hair plenty of times before since he is dexterous and has a good eye. Unfortunately, in 2018 we found out from taking my dad to the doctor that he had suffered series of mini strokes, which affected his memory and left him no longer able to communicate verbally, and now my dad is currently bedridden.

This lockdown probably gave me the idea to experiment. I'm also happy that I could not find any white hair on my head.
